I am looking forward to it so bad. EA take the piss. All online it said today but an EA administrator on Spanish EA forums says PS3 AND 360 demo is out september 6th. And EA official on youtube states 29th august for 360. EA NEED TO RELEASE AN OFFICIAL DATE ON THEIR WEBSITE. IT WOULDNT HURT ANYONE!

The EA administrator didnt state the pc demo. But thhe youtube ea admin says 27th aug for pc, 29th for 360 and 10 sept for ps3. HOWEVER another website posted something two days ago saying pc demo is moved to 27th september which must be a lie.

I am so desperate for this I want to call EA in canada..haha...
I keep checking market place every 30 mins but no hope. EA should just release a statement to shut us all up :D

OK I JUST HAD A REPLY FROM SOMEONE WHOS DAD IS FROM EA. HE SAYS THE PS3 DEMO IS 10TH SEPT AS WORK IS HIGHER TO GET THE BEST GRAPHICS. (I OWN A PS3 AND 360 SO IM COOL WITH BOTH). HE SAYS HIS DATES ARE 100% ACCURATE THAT THE 360 DEMO IS 29TH AUGUST AND PC DEMO IS TODAY. ILL EMAIL HIM BACK AND GET MORE INFO.

In the official Spanish EA forum we found some interesing informations about the release date of FIFA 08 and the demo.

The official release date of FIFA 08 has been set on 28th september 2007. However the German online store Amazon.de set the release date on 30th september...

Furthermore there are already existing dates for the demo: As EA Sports said the this-years demo will appear on:
- PC DVD - 27th august 2007
- Playstation 3 - 10th september 2007
- Xbox360 - 27th august 2007 it'f from http://fifa08.de

I am not lying on what I say. I am telling you the information I am getting from this person who claims their dad works for EA. They told me to put my trust in them and they did get special videos for it. And I have checked websites all over the net for information. No information has been recieved to me directly from EA.

That guy said he is 100% right. Only time will tell. If he is wrong, I am sorry. But I am dying for this demo.

These EA guys totally screw PC fans every year. It's like they don't even care about PC. You can barely find the PC section in their website and a measly tiny article about FIFA 08. But hey, why not check out the GIANT banners about FIFA 08 XBOX360 or FIFA 08 PS3, huh?
It's not fair that I have to buy a 1000$ console and a 200$ game just to enjoy some nice football.

Hy I'm romanian too...and if you give a search on google for an old gen gameplay video (besides the 3 very'cool' videos) you will find only next gen...xbox 360 ps 3....I think this year the fifa for pc will be fifa 08 with an update patch for rosters kits players...nothing more:(

I would definatly like to play this DEMO, BUT, EA programmers and knuckle head developers need to clear bugs for beta public release ( stupid QA's) OR a "You first, Me first" battle with PES 08. Still EA jugheads are neglecting the fact that before XBOX,WII,Play-whatever, it all began on the "Personal Computer" and 1 day they'll find out not to avoid the use of thier tail, as PES found out; as they try to smell the PC console market.

In an announcement today a fifa spokesperson has said that fifa 08 will be prosponed until late october due to licencing issues with new leagues and kits.

He has also mentioned that the demo will no be released till late in september.

Ok Guys, I have some news. Please no more "when is it coming out" type questions, I will confirm exact dates when I have them.

PC - we are hoping to be able to release this demo sometime this week. This is not guaranteed though. I will post more information when I have it.

360/PS3 - probably 2-3 weeks away. I will post a definite date when I have one.

PS2 - unknown, again will post a definite date when I have one.

Well i have something that may be classified as some type of news, on the EA large download site (http://largedownloads.ea.com/) the fifa 08 demo folder was created 30 August, so id imagine the demo would be put in it's folder soon.

uh its a crime that they will sell this for fullprice (the pc ver).. the gfx is so poor (even with hi-res) it feels like fifa 06. at least make some better playermodels or make it looks something like the nextgen versions..

Hm...some ideas of mine about FF 08 :
1/ The players' images are 99% same as 07 version (yeah, as u said, a bit disappointed)...
2/ But I'm stunned about this. U know, i'm using a Toshiba laptop with a ATI X200 graphic card....when I played FF07, damn poor graphic quality. But it is VERY MUCH MORE better with FF08, the game runs smoothly and the graphic of the game is VERY fresh and cool .... maybe FF08 require less powerful graphic card haha, just kiddin')....
3/ In FF08, movement of players are much improved. U can see from the way they pass, lob the ball, shoot....especially for those gamers who love dribbling with Messi, Henry or Ronaldinho (i'm a fan of Arsenal though) like me....it's great....i think it's a good point compared to FF07
4/ Goalkeeper are more smart and their movement also improved....there arent (at least, from what i saw from playing 5 matches) any stupid moves like in GKs in FF07....another vote too...
For me, FF08 is great and good enough for me (as i'm not kinda pro gamer)....good work EA Team :)

I downloaded the much awaited demo of fifa 08 pc.

The graphics may be similar to fifa 07 but it's more stable. I got above 40FPS at highest details (tweaking the fifa08/data/cmm folder and forced highest details).

I love this fifa 08 against fifa 07 because of the following reasons...

1) Fifa 08 didn't restart/reboot my PC.
2) no choppy frames.
3) Green pitches. Much more greener and realistic.
4) Improved AI and graphics(a bit).
5) It will have be-a-pro mode. I was waiting for this.

The player models are 99% the same as Fifa 07 on PS2. That is not a surprise. EA obviously put more work into the next gen versions. Expect new player models there.

The gameplay has certainly improved. I can actually trust the goalkeepers now. They use there legs now to help save. Big plus.

I can't wait to get this for a console. Most likely Xbox 360 or PS2.

How can anyone play this with a keyboard? I truly respect anyone who does.

And Billy, don't defect to PES because you played this demo.As I said before, this is the current-gen build. Have faith in the guys at EA.
